Author Topic: Water raising height cycle.  (Read 2711 times)

So I didn't see anything like this. There is the lava rising mod but not exactly what I'm looking for.

I want to set a minimum and maximum water height that raises and lowers at certain times of the day similar to the day/night cycle.

Can be set to fast or slow.

Maybe add an option that occasionally changes the flow and direction of the current.

I haven't seen any water mod like this before and thought it would be a nice for the build I'm making.

I'm not trying to flood my build I just want actual tides.

That would actually be really neat.

The current add-ons for raising and lowering you have to keep setting commands and whatever.

I just want to select the option through the environment window and forget about it.

Don't want to keep entering in commands to start the tide process.

Might look into this at some point in future as have wanted something like this, too.

Until then though, you could always set up a relay system using this.

Wouldn't lag it more than a script that does the same thing.

Am pretty sure there are daycycle input events, I'll look more tomorrow.

I thought tide wasn't day/night based?
I mean, in your server it can be, but I thought it was more lunar/solar than day/night

do you just want it to be sin/cos, or something else?
I'm guessing there would be a pref for average height, amplitude, length (time), and tick rate

I don't think it matters, Blockland doesn't even have a moon for the cycle, only a sun.

i think i have a water wave cycle thingy, i'll check my addon folder for it

Also while I'm suggesting this I might as well include a similar suggestion.

Any mods that add lightning to the environment that occasionally or randomly strikes lightning during the day cycle?
