Author Topic: Is it possible to have your character sleep when you log out of a server?  (Read 1868 times)

So in rust when you log out your character will be sleeping. So your character is vulnerable.

Is there a way we can do this with blockland with player persistence?

I noticed some more advanced RPG servers and people keep logging out to exploit the system to prevent death

I'm thinking like when you log out it plants a sleeping bag brick in your place which can be destroyed with any weapon in game. So you have to make sure you log out in a room with a lockable door.

Or maybe something more simple like a time limit to safely log out. Having to sit still and wait like 10 seconds to log out to make sure you don't log out during a fight.

As long as you can't exploit logging in and out that's all I need.

yeah, heedcalking had it
ask him for smth like it

He doesn't hand out his private stuff.

its possible, it would take a bunch of scripting though

I just don't want people to rejoin exploit.

If people want to break the rules on your server I don't think you should have them on in the first place, you should really just ban them which would stop them from doing any other stupid stuff.

This is super hard to regulate. You can't tell if someone's connection dropped or not.

I think if you check the console it will tell you if they disconnected or actually dropped connection.

sleeping seems more roleplay appropriate though.

I guess it does, but still if you can't get this add-on I recommend keeping console logs or something.

in that case they could just emulate that instead
the issue with trying to prevent cheating, is any counter measures you come up with are just there to get around
