Grimlock [20075] and Rally [107346] Map stealing and stuff talking

the public server = public map debate is might = right all over again. Grimlock and Rally are obviously in the wrong, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I support this. I was on the server yesterday to check it out. All that was happening was talk about how bad CTrooper's servers are and they showed zero respect for the build they were using. I pointed out multiple times that using other people's creations is part of the game, but that they should at least show CTrooper some respect if they are too lazy to make their own stuff. I was ignored.

Both these users, especially Grimlock, will be banned from my servers for this stuff. If you cant be civilized, respectful, and appreciative towards the people who spend time to make a map, especially when your USING THE MAP ON YOUR SERVER, then forget you.

of course. that doesn't make it cool to steal peoples' work.

considering i've said over and over the original build was by ctrooper plus the facts that we greatly improved the build(you literally couldn't use the vehicles because of the cluttered terrain), tripled the brick count, added non horsestuff weapons and actual balance, new gameplay elements(new vehicles that were actually usable and balanced against each other, including some private ones), AND the fact that this is the creator of the game's stance

if you make anything with bricks it is liable to be used by someone else with or without your permission

its not stealing. he's simply using public property within all limits

this drama is forgetin absurd. There have literally been hundreds of dramas on this subject and the bottom line is that if you host a public server your bricks are public. I'm pretty sure that badspot has threatened to revoke users using only private bricks on their builds or that have tried to disable the save function on their servers. Honestly, it's probably a little too hard for loving morons like Nonnel, Fire Vine(he finally made a post expressing his opinion rather than quoting someone elses, good job buddy!) and Alien Cunt to understand, but it's not like they have or ever will contribute jack stuff to the game anyways

i was speaking in general like path was, not in regards to this actual drama. obviously you're allowed and able to take other peoples' work but it's not good practice.
