The great thing about it is that they can literally steal your money without charging you with a crime, and since your money isn't a person it has no legal rights and it's impossible to get it back legally.

this is BS--it's a 4th amendment violation and if someone with an income took it to court they would get their money back. the reason that it works for corrupt cops is because usually the people they steal from are either too poor to hire or a lawyer or the costs of the court battle would outweigh the amount of money seized.
