the only affordable service available in our area has 5mbps up/down dsl at $70 dollars (and we never get more than 1 megabit)
my upload speed is usually abysmal, being less than half of my download
why is it suddenly almost 6mbps today? i've only tested it on the xfinity website

to clarify: we don't have xfinity

also this is just a taste of what is yet to come OP. those bad speeds are only gonna get worse now with net neutrality gone

They're also fighting super hard against community broadband. They really, REALLY, don't want any competition to their stuffty service because it actually forces them to give decent speeds and customer service.
