its just a memory game. an impressive one but its not like godly or anything

it sure is a memory game, but think about how much he had to work to pull this off - he had to memorize thousands of notes and their precise location in the song, and then not forget up a single one of those notes. also keep in mind how notorious this song is for being extremely difficult to do, even when you're not blindfolded and you're looking at the tv screen.
edit: i noticed in the video that he was using a different version of guitar hero, so i did some investigation to make sure that the song wasn't any easier. i compared the video to a video of guitarherophenom doing 100 percent expert through the fire and flames in gh3, and judging from the pattern of the notes, this is legit. if you want to see the comparison yourself: http://youtubedoubler.com/?video1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DcyKdFb1ZWUU&start1=102&video2=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DcHRfbiwdheg&start2=29&authorName=why+we+slap (note: the two videos are a bit out of sync)

i mixed up through the fire and the flames with the flame in the flood so when i clicked i was like guitar hero???

I wonder how mr.queeba would react to a guitarist covering a song in real life, he'd probably have a heart attack

this guy is real and he's amazing at the game
BTW being able to do songs blindfolded actually isn't that uncommon, especially if you're trying to say, go for a high score on it. At one point I was able to do a medium-difficulty song blindfolded, so it's not as farfetched as you might think. An amazing achievement to do it on this song nonetheless.

If you wanna take a look at the kinda stuff he can do with his eyes open, here's a clip from his Jan 20th 2018 stream: https://clips.twitch.tv/ToughScrumptiousTroutStinkyCheese

Eh, I mean yeah its a memory game but if you're a musician too, or just decent at know what a beat is, you can remember the song similar to learning a song on a real guitar. Lots of people can play guitar without looking at their instrument. Its also even easier on GH because you have only 5 buttons. Certainly a hard song, and your timing does have to be impeccable, but its not much different from the way people actually perform music.

This guy has probably played this song so many times normally, that all the movements and muscle memory are ingrained in his hands. Its certainly a little bit of a leap to go 100% blind, but having already been completely accustomed to the song, it just comes down to practicing what you already know without looking.

The song is overcharted as forget on GH.  Speaking from personal experience, there's a few songs on Rockband that are hard as stuff for me to play because they're complex and have lots of shreddy lines, but on real guitar, I don't have much issue playing it.
