Well im realy trying not to sound like a newb. But when/if V9 comes out what will happen will all these Add-ons be trash and wont work, will we have to buy it again, will our BL__IDs change.
If any one knows what will happen pleas post.

1. Yeah, all the Add-Ons in the add-ons form won't be able to be downloaded, because everything will be uploaded via RTB 2.0 and downloaded through RTB 2.0.

2. You will NOT have to buy Blockland again.

3. Your IDs won't change.

You will NEVER have to buy Blockland again nor will your IDs change every time there's a patch.

and I'll still be kick-ass 1442

captain blue please chaing your avatar it is annoying. my post in no way was funny. nor were any post above your post. if you need a good avatar i will find/ make one for you

v9 inst some new game, its just an update to the one and only blockland.

all this hype over bells and whistles confuses the new people into thinking theres a new game or some stuff.

Is this correct?  The only way you can get add-on's is through RTB?  I don't know how the new add-on system works but I don't think it's dependent on RTB.  I just need some clarification.

Why do you insist on crying over every little thing? It's just an avatar, get over it.

Add-ons can be downloaded via RTB 2.0 when its out, but that's not the only way.

OMG, YOUR AVATAR. <3<3
Mine? Thanks didn't know we had a lot of Ubuntu fans on here.

Oh, so that's what that is, i was trying to figure that out

I think my brother has a Ubuntu game on here, at least, i think

That is wrong.

V9 will have a new add-on system were all add-onsand maps are contained in zip folders, so you just drop the zip in your add-ons folder and turn it on.  RTB Is making a download system that works with their site so that you can download add-ons from their site or ingame with the RTB mod manager.  The system is very nice as you can see by the last post on the RTB IRC.

Just to clarify the add-ons situation for everyone:

There is an entirely new add-ons system in V9 which means that add-ons are self-contained in their own .zip file, and you just plonk them into your add-ons folder without having to extract them and all that jazz. There are lots of requirements with regards to certain files you need in your zip, and naming conventions to follow, to make sure that your add-on will be accepted by the V9 add-on system. All of those will be clarified with the release of V9 I expect.

RTB 2.0
One of our main features in RTB 2.0 is the Mod Manager which works in tandem with an online mod database. So you'll be able to go on the rtb forums, submit a mod into the system and specify a title, description, icon etc. and then people ingame will be able to browse the mod database, comment and rate the mods, and then download and install them into their game without ever having to close Blockland. You can see where the advantages lie here. The RTB System will then notify you of new updates for any mods you have, and give you the choice to download and install etc.

There will be a much more in-depth informational pack on all the RTB 2.0 stuff when V9 gets closer to its release date.

Basically this enables for tidy mod packs, plonk (I like that word. :o) all the .cs files and whatever into the zip, and it will exec them all together?
