Oh boo hoo they used a historical figure in their commercial. They do this stuff all the time, just look at all the President's Day commercials.

I can't help but feel that using MLK's image and phrases to try and sell cars is inappropriate and undignified, considering his importance in history as a civil rights leader and peace activist. I don't like this.

What makes it funnier is that the people related to him signed off on it.

But they didn't use George Washington to race bait and attempt to appeal to SJWs.

SJWs click on ads that either appeal to them or offend them

They win either way.

MLK Jr. was not a capitalist.

not sure what to think about anti-capitalist tony

All of the superbowl was oriented towards heroes and was geared towards all audiences; no love innuendos. It makes sense that they would use it, especially with February being black history month.

you can say that for anyone tho

controversial ads garner more clicks these days, the companies are just doing clever marketing by making more and more controversial stuff

I laughed my ass off when MLK yelled "WE CAN ALL SERVE!" and the firefighter carrying someone away from a blaze gave way to a giant Ram truck. total non sequitur.
