Author Topic: cards ruined arcades  (Read 2615 times)

give me a million quarters instead of those gay ass cards you have to put in. dont try to mess with me arcades. I went to a bomb ass arcade in michigan and it only took quarters. it was awesome. forget you card arcades.

yea it's p annoying when you have to get tokens or cards or w/e to do the exact thing a stack of quarters can. i know it's marketing and business strategy and all but damn it just ruins the effect

the sound of the jingling coins and the satisfying pop of putting a quarter/token in the machine is gone :(

Arcades don't use quarters anymore?

I feel old :(

there are still some quarter arcades out there, but big name chain arcades always use cards now. the best thing you'll get in those places are the coin pusher machines.

people still use arcades?

this is the biggest surprise, honestly. arcade games kinda suck

people don't go to arcades for the games anymore, they go for the "experience" and "prizes"
but the experience is shallow and the prizes are impossible to get unless you're one of those arcade oracles that know when a game is on its easy mode and how to abuse it

the cards are honestly kind of convenient but yea i don't remember the last time i went to an arcade

i dont rly go to arcades but occasionally i go to places that have an arcade game, and i remember for my 8th grade graduation, our school went to amazing jakes and i spent 20 bucks on that jurassic park lost world arcade game with my friend, and they used cards :c
