when should people have guns then
hes just saying the argument "cars kill more people than guns" is an irrelevant argument as it adds nothing to the discussion. it doesn't support or counter gun rights, as car-related deaths are accidents and a byproduct of its widespread use and the number of dumb people out there, while guns are designed to kill or harm people (aka not a byproduct/side effect) and not nearly as widespread. he's not making a statement on gun rights.
tac nuke's post about combat knives is more relevant, but even those have utility. you use a knife to cut rope or fabric, but it can also be used as a weapon. cars arent used as weapons nearly as often as guns or knives, and guns are literally only used to kill things and nothing else.
