to be fair, this specific situation probably wouldn't have blacks

blacks in europe at this time would either be imported slaves or non-peasants who came by their own choice- now consider this. i can't remember more than 9 people in the game who qualify as nobles, and the rest were either peasants or middle-class people like soldiers and artisans. by the way, of those 9 nobles, 2-4 were cutscene-only

we're in mostly backwater areas, keep in mind. no major trading towns or the likes on the map to speak of

the only foreigners the game had were hungarians, cumans, and germans- all three were both common-ish irl and plot-relevant ingame. where are the french? the italians? same answer as any african state

if you wanna attack the game then why not point out how cumans are seen as barbaric mercenary-bandits and nothing more? still reasons behind it but it's a stronger case than no black ppl

also the game takes place just a little bit after a major battle between christian and muslim forces (battle of nicopolis) so islam and christendom were on hostile terms at the time, which further complicates blacks coming to europe as islam controlled all of north africa. in fact, the islamic "wall", so to speak, complicated a lot of things and is partially the reason europe was stuck with greco-roman knowledge of asia mixed with rumors from the silk road for so long
