Client sided add-on that shows twitch emotes

Hello, I want an add-on that will show bitmaps in place of text when someone types a certain word.   

Like if someone were to type "Kappa" it would show up as  
Obviously, it would have to be bitmap sized and client-sided.  Anyone know how to do this?

I downloaded the add-on, created the folder, and nothing happens.  I typed what it said to type and the emote didn't show up.  Maybe there is a way to do this with bitmaps?
