add a bowling tile so that way once the ball contacts the tile it spins and has a chance to roll in a different direction, and if possible a working bowling machine/command/event to make a game of bowling. it'd be great if there were pins which, if they hit each other after being fake killed, or killed by the actual ball, knock other pins down when they hit them. probably not possible but whatever.
finally we need the ball, pretty self explanatory

This might be where the faulty vehicle physics can shine.

If someone made this mod that'd be cool, but it's not really necessary. We've got vehicle_ball which you can shrink down, then launch it at bricks and fake kill them.

Damn I guess that isn't possible after all. I would have a button that fakekills the bricks, then launch the ball at them. But at this point I guess the bowling ball mod would be more convenient lol.

I remember when I first discovered Blockland's brick physics so many years ago, made a bowling alley (took me days and it looked like crap) and realized it didn't work, all I did was launch a giant pinball and hit the pins when they're fakekilled but there was no way to detect them if they moved.

Could you theoretically use vehicles/bots to simulate the physics?

i hope so because this stuff would be awesome and I'd totally be willing to not be lazy and actually host a bowling server

You could use tumble vehicle and have a bot hook onto it which is modeled like a bowling pin, would be very interesting to watch

I did this using an animated playertype & some bricks.  The bricks don't seem to have any weight.

thats amazing, can you make it an actual item? after that maybe make it so you get a tiny bit of control over after letting it go, and maybe requiring more force to knock down the pins if possible because this stuff is awesome man

That looks really cool, I like the first person use of it. You could make a neat bass fishing type thing doing it that way too. Really inventive use of a playertype!

I'd be willing to help on a bowling pack. I was imagining something simple that works with the existing sports add-on



note: the bowling ball doesn't spin or anything, just a rough draft idea of what the throwing animation could look like
