https://store.steampowered.com/app/203770/Crusader_Kings_II/Pick this game up guys. I've played it for hundreds of hours and it's one of the most memorable games I've ever played. The crazy situations you get into (like getting murdered by your kids and playing as them only to learn that you and everyone else in the court is secretly Jewish) can be pretty hilarious and it's a very RPG like strategy game (esp with Monks & Mystics adding artifacts).
DLC is intimidating but 99% are just aesthetic. If you really get into it the only ones you should really get are Horse Lords & The Old Gods, because Vikings & Mongols are extremely fun to play.
Fun fact: If your character has a low intelligence, their cat will "go to live with their aunt" instead of dying.
Also you can host Satanic murder orgies in this game.
