Did you read the rest of it? The Switch Online services isn't bad but it can definitely be really better, they just need to bring out said basic features, and hopefully make it free.

The postponed 9/6 Direct is now happening on tomorrow on 9/13 at the same time as before.

It'll be 35 minutes of Switch and 3DS, mostly Switch as I'd expect the 3DS to get a couple of shoutouts for less than 5 minutes then move on like last time.

splatoon 2 update V4.0 announced! featuring new gear, a 100x battle mode, and splatfest improvements
new smash bros. ultimate switch bundle released, with a themed system and controllers
isabelle has been confirmed for smash
and of course, ANIMAL CROSSING SWITCH CONFIRMED FOR NEXT YEAR

Tbh the controllers and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe are just cash grabs.

I hope that Animal Crossing is gonna be good though, been waiting too long for a new game.
