Author Topic: Should runescape get rid of membership and make it free to play?  (Read 2139 times)

Since blockland got rid of the need to port forward there are now like a stuffload of servers with an average of 0-2 people actually in them.

The less servers, the more people in them. The more fun there is.

But in reality you're only asking for a "source" from me because you know it's a hot button issue and you're trying to loving start stuff and you think I am this handicapped to not know what you are up to.
just link loving sources

just link loving sources

It's on youtube, someone already literally found the video i was talking about and posted the link.

It's that easy to find.

im gonna fly over and spank your ass for this deflection

You don't need to resort to threats I just want to loving talk about runescape.

games with a monthly sub dont get to have microtransactions and runescape is the first game ive heard of to have this and they should be ashamed just like you should be for not posting sources

Runescape is practically pay to win now on top of membership.

So it's kinda weird how a game with micro transactions has membership.

It's no surprise that runescape is dying lol.

But they just recently added microtransactions and you can buy keys to get rewards and other bullstuff.

So on top of paying a monthly fee to play you're now bombarded with microtransactions.

The micro transactions have been going on for years, and even then, they are mostly for cosmetic overrides. Also, you dont need to buy a single thing to play or even maintain membership. As long as you dont suck at the game you don't need to buy a thing.

As it is right now you can't buy levels and never could. What the forget are you on about?

or even maintain membership. As long as you dont suck at the game you don't need to buy a thing.

Do you know how hard it is to get to level 99 combat skills in F2P?

Aside from "corrupt dragon" equipment that degrades in 30 minutes I'm level 118 and I am stuck using level 50 rune equipment. Killing only red spiders in varrock sewers because it is basically the only way to level up attack, strength and defense in F2P.

Something is seriously wrong when in 2007 I had to kill red spiders in varrock sewer to level up and then in 2018 after quitting for a long ass time I find out that the only way to level up in F2P is basically killing red spiders in varrock still. So from 2007 to 2018 they didn't add any significant ways to level up combat at all for F2P and the F2P players are stuck using level 50 equipment when they are well over level 120.

Would it hurt for them to let F2P members use more equipment, specifically for higher levels?

If level 50s are using rune and level 120s are using rune then that means the game is horribly unbalanced as you get higher.

It's kinda hard to "not suck at the game" when the game provides no real challenge to F2P members at higher levels.

The only "real challenge" F2P offers is the slow ass grind because higher levels are stuck with using inferior equipment designed for level 50s.

So if ya like trying to accomplish tasks 1000x slower then maybe F2P is what you need.

As it is right now you can't buy levels and never could. What the forget are you on about?

You can buy keys to unlock chests which occasionally drop low, medium, high, etc XP lamps.

You are essentially buying level ups.

Not to mention with these keys you also occasionally get money and weapons/armor or whatever as well.

These keys are basically pay to win.

just sacrifice a couple mil for membership bonds

once you get membership for 2 weeks its easy to farm 2 mil to get another and another etc.

Um 2 mill?

It's 18 million in RS3.
