Political Correctness is Cancer | Freespeech Thread

Political Correctness is Cancer, do you agree or disagree with this statement?

/Discuss

I cannot fully agree or disagree.
There are some things that definitely need correction. But since you bring up speech, I'm going to assume that this is what the thread is about.
And on that subject, I completely and utterly stand for free speech. Anyone who is against it must like stuffting where they sleep.

People can say "Free speech is hate speech" all they want, but anti-speech laws can just as easily be used in a hateful manner as well. Just look at literally any country that doesn't have free speech.

Political correctness should exist in apolitical shows lite cartoons or nature channels where the primary demographic needs to be viewing safe content 24/7. On history channels or news sites it probably shouldn't especially when directly quoting someone

On the contrary condemning PC because it doesn't let you say monday a thousand times every day or talk about how you want to kill Jews is dumb. If your message is intentionally inflammatory you should keep it to yourself. Freedom of speech does not make you immune to public criticism or disapproval so don't act surprised when your essay on how best to eradicate Muslim children gets backlash

CNN is terrible news, I apologize for my post.

there's a difference between being politically correct and acting appropriate to your circumstances

Free speech is essential. But free speech doesn't give you the right to be an starfish either.

The only people that defend themselves behind "free speech" are stuffty people saying stuffty things.
"What do you mean I cant yell racial slurs at people in public? That's my free speech bruh!"

To me, free speech and political correctness are two ends of extreme spectrum. We should be somewhere in the middle, not on one end.

What the honest to god forget are you thinking typing something like this

if you aren't one of the people he described you have literally no reason to get defensive

That the only people that end a sentence with "That's my freedom of speech" are saying something really stupid?
It's kind of like starting a sentence with "Im not tribal, but...".
