Ok then, make your own engineering company and start building bridges

hire literally anyone and "trust them" when they have no experience or degree

i'll be laughing when your bridges are loving falling over densely populated areas and you get sued out your ass

You didn't need a degree to build bridges 50 years ago, you still don't need one now.

And those bridges 50 years are still standing.

This.
Degrees are not experience, they're proof you jumped through expensive hoops.

Exactly, going to college to study for something is still not hands-on experience.

I would hire someone with no degree that had 30+ years of engineering experience.

Over someone with a degree and zero years of engineering experience.

Except it is in Canada, I have a guaranteed 2 years of internship experience that comes along with my degree, again this kind of handicapped mentality only applies to the handicapped states of america

You didn't need a degree in canada 50 years ago either.

College is designed to collect as much money as possible. So it's not surprising that college is required for everything now.
.
You even need a loving college degree to become an artist these days.

what??????????????????????????????

just loving stop tony.

what??????????????????????????????

Figure of loving speech.

You don't need a degree for anything these days besides being a doctor.

But it is highly recommended to loving obtain a degree because the chance of getting a job regardless of experience is rare these days

You NPCs need to think outside your programming and stop taking figure of speeches 100% literally.

just loving stop tony.

ME loving STOP?

I loving stopped when I LOCKED MY TOPIC in the loving first place as intended.

Hey cobalt don't you realize this isn't my loving topic?

I stopped when I locked the original topic hours ago.

Excuse me. I locked the thread before it turned into a 50 page rant.

So if I leave it unlocked it you'll blame me for creating a 50 page rant.

If I lock it you'll make a second topic about it which will create a 50 page rant and you'll blame me for this topic reaching 50 pages.

unreal, bro.

from getting pissed over ponies to being the political grandpa of the forums in the span of a few years, thanks tony

Man you NPCs and your hivemind.

unreal

goddang fuggin npcs in my goddang fuggin internet forum and their goddang hivemind man

I can't believe you people are telling me to stop.

I didn't create a second topic about a locked topic.

SO when I stop, you keep going then tell me to stop.

Degrees are not experience, they're proof you jumped through expensive hoops.
its proof that you meet a minimum standard of knowledge. certifications are the same thing, but often less adaptible - they only certify you for one thing, not for a broad range of jobs relating to a certain field (eg: difference between being an IT specialist versus a computer scientist who can also do software development, scripting, web development, backend, etc)

I can't believe you people are telling me to stop.

I didn't create a second topic about a locked topic.

Unreal.
its cause you’re clearly riled up about the topic plus projecting your own financial insecurities onto others in an attempt to justify your dropping out and subsequent loss of opportunities, like the sour grapes parable. its honestly sad and entertaining to watch.
