chess has gotten randomly popular with ppl in their twenties, what is up with that? cant go to a bar without ppl there playing chess, people at student associations or otherwise around my age often play already. i meet a lot of ppl with chess apps and theres so many chess streamers now. it makes me regret not giving in to peer pressure sooner so Id be a bit better.

chess probably got a comeback thru all the board game cafes n stuff plus people actually going to cafes to do stuff

imo great thing cause the game although approaching solved thru machine learning is still a great mental exercise and can be a very intense but fun use of your time

too bad people here generally dont know how to play chess - ive seen a few board game mods that do chess but none of them took off since over half the people that join dunno how to play
