Manic Miners aims to be what could’ve been if the franchise continued and subsequently released a “Rock Raiders 2” or “Rock Raiders remastered”, but 20 years later. All in the spirit of 90’s Lego themes and games. While performance and fun gameplay is the most important, all assets in the game are also supposed to be of highest quality: The models, the textures, the music, the animations… you name it, it’s probably on my list.

I've always really liked the original rock raiders game, so this was an instant download for me. As expected, it plays a lot like the older game, but actually functional on modern hardware and nicer visuals looking a bit like brickadia at times.

Played this a few weeks ago and it is really cool, I can't wait for monsters and stuff to be added

imagine if lego went back to making games like this and less dumb ass movie tie in games.

some of the faces and decals are from beta blockland lol

this is how lego games should be

Thank you for contributing to my topic, Tony.

I just tried playing the original game on my old computer, still had fun even though the AI is finicky. But the worst part had to be when the game crashed randomly in the middle of a mission. Hopefully they fix that in the remake.

funfact packer is a developer for this mod.

which makes a hell of a lot of sense because when I was driving the vehicles in first person in manic miners I immediately noticed now similar they drove like the ones in blockland

ut the worst part had to be when the game crashed randomly in the middle of a mission. Hopefully they fix that in the remake.

they fixed it but there is an optional feature to enable random crashes lol
