Author Topic: Scars & Wounds?  (Read 1940 times)

I thought it would be cool if you could tell a players health in a mini game if you had scars and wounds. The more scars and wounds yah got the weaker you got and every 5 minutes yur health would heal by 25 but your scars would still be there and your wounds would heal up more until you are fully healed with all the wounds gone and scars not as bloody. And when the mini ends the scars would dissapear (wounds also if the mini ended when you had wounds) Plus aother idea is if the hit was critical the wounds & scars would stay and you would lose -1 everyone minute so by the end you would have at least 92 health left.
Good idea? huh-huh-huh?

Decals for some damage :D
No code though, couldn't be bothered :/

Hmm, I will try to make a code, That if allowed by Space, I would attach to the TDM and it would be every time you lose 10% of health, you get a wound, And after a while, You get scars. But im not sure if I can do it.

Ty guys. And Thank you Jervan for the decals. these all look great. i hope i can learn coding and release my first bl mod. well ty for posting. keep posting pll

I say forget the decals. Just make floating things appear on they're heads that looks like cuts.

Beach, why the HELL would you need to attach it to TDM?

If I cut a blocko open blood would come out?

the people of Blockland get scratches and dents, not blood and cuts...

Try making blood come out of this:

fill the pieces with blood, reseal, and puncture it with a sharp object?

How 'bout instead of blood (which will require the game to be labelled "T" for Blood), the player model gets chunks and bits blown off?

Impossible.

And it wouldn't get T unless it was released with blood.

You could make a decal that has transparent white and black, and arrange it so that it looks like a chunk has been taken out of the plastic. I might look into it a little later.

Before anyone says any bullstuff about engine changes, this is completely possible and is one of the hallmark bits of the torque game engine; to add "decals" to objects on the fly to make thigns such as bullet holes. This is how blockland has decals on bricks and players, so no one say anything about this being impossible.
