on the flip side you could also say it's dangerous for youth who have lgbt extremist parents. could you imagine a parent who would convince their kid they were born the wrong gender or influence their child to undergo hormone therapy or some irreversible life changing surgery? or how about having tribal extremist parents? those would be bad too.
So close to getting it.
Parent's Rights is "State's Rights" all over again.
Despite what bible thumping lunatics believe, people
cannot be property.
Not because of their skin color, not because of their incarceration status, and not because of their age.
So therefore I must ask Parent's rights to do what?
It must be certainly easy for the average American to imagine a child as being a helpless infant until they turn 18 where they magically know everything. But it isn't healthy or sensible.
People are meant to explore and gain autonomy as they get older so that when the eventual bell ringing of 18 comes along they
aren't helpless.
Trans Rights may be the fore-front issue here in terms of the talking points, but it is far from where this ends. This parent's rights stuff is pushed by the same idiots who think they can pray the covid away and that vaccines cause autism.
And lest we forget, there are special interests involved now. With these massive pushes for privatizing education and pushing for a "voucher" system to substitute it. It won't be long until the Right starts calling the vouchers handouts and cuts that too.
Meanwhile as states like Florida are gutting child labor laws, and the economy is going to stuff, parents will be able to force their kids to work.
Because "Parent's Rights."
And here we have the party of "Parent's Rights"

If anything, parents pushing for "Parent's Rights" should be a mandatory CPS call. Not that we're going to have CPS for much longer either with President creep in office.
