Author Topic: what youtube channels are y'alls favorites  (Read 210 times)

just curious about what channels people watch regularly, i'm mostly into horror/comedy stuff, but also like edutainment sometimes too. i've been really into Technology Connections, Techmoan, and LEMMiNO, who just uploaded 2 hour and 30 minute video on space signals.

recently ive been watching toms refurb, tasting history with max miller, regular car reviews, toldinstone, and occasionally vwestlife

I've always liked cursed tech so Cathode Ray Dude's quick start series is one of my personal favorites as well as Action Retro. I've also liked more comedic stuff too like Dankpods and his Garbage Time channel.

garbage time is one of the goats

technology connections, pannenkoek, kevin zhang, programmers are human too, max0r, doshdoshington, mandaloregaming, practical engineering are some channels i can think of rn that ive watched basically everything they've posted

And now a separate list for Youtube Poopers:
Now that's a genre I haven't heard about in a while.

Now that's a genre I haven't heard about in a while.
Something of a ytp renaissance happened, there's a lot of new folks making them that's really bringing life back to the artform. And then there's the ghost of Krobo who came back as an immortal vampire and, in exchange for his soul, has been made significantly funnier than he already was and is now too powerful.

all of these are extremely good channels, y'all got good taste

NotJustBikes

A channel that has dry humor, a bit more of a focus on ambient sounding content, while being informative and opinionated as all hell. And yes, he does do more than just bikes.

CathodeRayDude

Long form tech content that focuses on computers and legacy computer technology. Uploads are infrequent and not consistent, but the quality of the content is without question.

Technology Connections

This channel focuses on merging new-age social media content creation with the chill vibes of a late 70s early 80s informational segment on your favorite, and likely long since bankrupt, television station. Jazz music, 80s business professional clothes contrasting with a background that ranges from 70's to today. This RetroFusion channel will make sure you know the ins and outs of even the most absurdly minor household appliance or item.

Two Minute Papers

Short to mid-range content that gives quick overviews on the latest in theoretical research on computer technology.

Nexpo

The Nightmare Expo channel. Real horrors either from the actions or minds of human beings found from around the internet. This channel was around at the beginning of the brown townogue Horror boom a few years ago, and the channel identity reflects this.

LSuperSonicQ

Even in the Internet Age, media can be lost. The hunt for lost media has yielded a wide spectrum of results. From empty hands to finding that which was not even known to be lost, this channel keeps it in focus. This channel focuses mainly on late 90s to early 2000s content that is lost, usually cartoons and television media.

DIMM4

Another Minecraft Channel, but instead of the usual loud quirky, clicking at the camera as they scream alot, this channel focuses on talking about Minecraft the game, the community and the player.

Kaze Emanuar

Follow Kaze on his intense quest to pick apart the Nintendo 64 and its flaws to make the ultimate in homebrew software and romhacks.

Rick Murray

Long ago, many youtubers got their start as NewGrounds Flash Animators. Rick Murray is just such an animator. He has made a recent return with a new minecraft series that focuses on Tiffany the Human and Marie the Elf as they explore the Minecraft world they live in together.

This is not a channel but...

Ultra Hard Core Generations

In Ultra Hard Core, death is inevitable. But in UHC Generations, the world lives on. UHC Generations is a Minecraft Series that follows the events of a Minecraft Ultra Hard Core world, and there is one simple rule. When the channel that has the world dies, they must select a successor to continue the world on in their stead.

This is not one channel, but an increasing list of channels that have left their mark on a single Minecraft world.

I've always liked cursed tech so Cathode Ray Dude's quick start series is one of my personal favorites as well as Action Retro. I've also liked more comedic stuff too like Dankpods and his Garbage Time channel.
literally was gonna come in here and say cathode ray dude. i really despise a lot of modern day youtubers because they try WAY too hard. CRD straight up has gumption though and really gets into the nitty gritty about EVERYTHING and i love it.

cybershell's cool

Here's my big youtuber dump:

Civvie11 is my go to for video game content these days. Ross Scott over at AccursedFarms with the Game Dungeon is my second. Then finally it's a tie between Warlockracy and MandaloreGaming for third. Majuular is also cool as stuff.

If you want a really small channel where some former youtube pooper, furry redneck from the south reviews monster truck games and stuff, check out Stuart K Reilly.

Still love Corridor Crew videos. Logan From Earth does videos where he visits old Garry's Mod maps and explores them.

Lofty does animations I think are cool. Toad Burger too.

Dazz reviews cartoons, and Watchtower Database if you're really into the DCAU like BTAS or STAS or Justice League.

Last are my grab bags, Gaming Engineer does some mind-blowing work using only the Game Maker engine, and Nick on Planet Ripple does a series called Lego Rewind where he reviews every Lego set theme in mostly chronological order.
