this is an important poll, please answer honestly. i love roquefort

Mozzarella is good solid, shredded, and melted, it's very multi-purpose

Parmigiano Reggiano

This is THE Cheese.

It is so iconic the name alone has special protections. You may have tasted the inferior "Parmesan" which is of a similar name, but not the same taste.
"Parmesan" is to Parmigiano Reggiano as Kraft "cheese" is to real cheese. A sad imitation made to satisfy the basic needs of the average person, but
it lacks the true flavor of REAL Parmigiano Reggiano. This right here is the cheese you put in that Caesar salad, thinly sliced. This right here is the cheese
you put into only the finest pasta dishes, or make the entire wheel itself into a pasta dish. This cheese has the same love and care put into it that even the best
breweries could not hope to compete with. Parmigiano Reggiano, it is THE Cheese of all time.

Muenster. Blood Cheese, baby!!!!!!!!!! There's also pepper jack.

pepper jack count? otherwise id go with parmigiano reggiano.

I'm a cheese noob since I never ate it as a kid but I think Parmesan because it's used to make pesto and also Caesar salad. Swiss is also incredible when you melt it since it gets so stretchy but I swear you have to use a propane torch on it.

Has anyone ever tried that fancy ass wine cheese from trader joe's?

swiss and mushroom supremacy

Yeah its quite good, although you can get it at like a regular supermarket for cheaper sometimes if they have a good cheese section.

Port Salut is one of my favorites, i also appreciate a good camembert or aged gouda or irish cheddar. There was a chipotle gouda I used to get but i havent been able to find it recently. Also goat cheese can be great in the right context too.

Waaaait I am looking at the poll options and gouda is nowhere on it? It's not even that obscure of a cheese! This is blasphemy

this is tough, there are so many good cheeses out there and really the only kind i dont like is blue cheese varieties

my favs would have to be pepper jack, provolone, swiss, gouda, colby-jack
