Author Topic: First blood clot at 29  (Read 246 times)

Probably the booze and nicotine.

Started with a stiff muscle above my right foot before my leg and foot swelled up and then my calf muscle seized up and I could barely walk, after that the swelling/pain started to spread up my leg. As it was a deep blood clot it apparently means redness/bruising doesn't necessarily happen. I also think this finally explains why I have a lung that seems to feel like it's tight and pushing against my ribs but I don't know if that's linked. It's kind of really scary since I live alone and started to realize I couldn't help myself out of a burning building and if I had a stroke I probably would be crawling on the ground trying to get help before dying.

Got proscribed blood thinners and alcohol abstinence. Take care of yourselves.

I've been consuming booze and nicotine since I was like 15, and I know people who are in their 60's, 70's and older who have also been consuming alcohol and nicotine practically their entire life and are quite healthy for their age, so I kinda doubt that to be the direct cause. of course genetics plays a role in this sorta stuff too if your family has a history of this type of medical anomaly, but generally speaking;

if you've been injecting government approved™ mystery juices you may want to consider this could be one of those side effects:

i hope you're doing better now, be well. try to quit the booze and nicotine if you can, stuff like that has killed/ruined a lot of lives in my family.

I drink an excessive amount of beer, like around 8-10 a day, I also work from home so I can pretty much sit smoking my vape all day.

Yeah I'm gonna try to cut out alcohol from now on at least, I knew it was loving me up but I spend a lot of time alone playing video games. I love CS but man I gotta be drunk to handle the other players most of the time.

Could also be related to the flu going around and me not cutting out the booze/nicotine while being sick, it was stupid. Right legs pretty much seized and I have to walk down the stairs backwards like a ladder and my left lung hurts if I take a deep breath. Apparently I just take pills (xarelto) for 3 months to a year and my body should hopefully break the clots down. I don't think anyone can know yet if I'm going to be on the pills for the rest of my life so I just have to wait and see if they help.

if you read the first two links you posted, they both says that risk of getting blood clots is *lower* with the vaccine than if you get infected by covid 19? i thought you were anti-vax?

for my two cents, i think switching from pvp games to pve made my average blood pressure measurably drop. as for the alcohol and nicotine i really, genuinely, wish you the best. you're stronger than you think, and you *can* beat both of these habits. if you don't have a support system and ever need someone to lean on, my steam is here if you want to add me: https://steamcommunity.com/id/nothingisonmymind/ .

8 beers a day + competitive pvp games is a recipe for all kinds of disasters, not just clotting issues. I agree with bloody jumper, things like CS2 and League are too much for some people to handle, including me bro forget those games.
