ive been thinking about this place a lot recently, and for some reason im a little bit split on not being more involved. id probably have killed myself at some point from the bullying, but this was a unique place on the internet.
its funny to see so much casual bigotry a decade ago, and then a good chunk of us being queer now.
the last big thing i was involved in here was pirate rpg, and the amount of time spend on it def cut into my freshman and sophomore years of college. i was dealing with a ton of academic pressure and the background radiation of dysphoria, so im glad it was an escape for me.
right now i work in aerospace manufacturing, and i have a wonderful girlfriend who lives out in washington that i hope to move closer to next summer. it's a bit forgeted, but i like hearing how she also grew up isolated and terminally online and sometimes i talk about blockland like ptsd flashbacks.
