Author Topic: Why do u have to pay?  (Read 3581 times)

Why didn't you just QFT?

Think of it this way. Torque gaming engine costs 100 dollars to make a game, post it on the internet, and NOT pay a price. The retail version of it is 500 dollars. You need the retail version to have people pay for it. Then there is the super version or whatever that is 1000 dollars that you have to pay for to have a devolping team. So where do you think badspot is getting the money? You. If you don't buy the game, We cant have more versions. Thus ending blockland forever :(. Now stop being a cheap ass and go buy blockland.

It was made to keep free game noobs like you out  :cookieMonster:

Your prices are all wrong.

1) The commercial version is for bigger time developers, and you do NOT need it to release a pay for game.
2)the prices are $150 for the indie version and $750 for the commercial version(Badspot may have an older engine however)
3)There is no "super version or whatever", moron, and the commercial version is for developing companies/teams. And on top of that, Badspot didn't have much of a developing team-- himself with a little help from various people.

Overall: Blockland took more time than it did money, and you fail at statistics.

Because he's been spending a long time on Blockland. He isn't making it for fun, he's doing it to make a living, to put food on his table, pay his bills and pay for internetz.

Simple diagram:

Badspot DOESN'T get Money
Therefore, no money equals no more food/internet for Badspot, which therefore means no more Badspot. :(

Badspot gets Money
Therefore, money equals food and internets and stuff and bitches for Badspot, which means happy Badspot. :D

Why do u have to pay??? like thats so dumb....

To keep dumbasses like you out.

If Badspot didn't charge you for Blockland:
1. He would find no reason to keep updating it.
2. He wouldn't be able to keep the website and server for Blockland up.

you can sell games with the indie license.

you just have to display the garage game logo

i meant why cant we play online without the full version
*Sigh* One buys Blockland for one or two of the following reasons
  • To play online with loads of other people
  • To get rid of the demo limit of 150 bricks, which is SO limiting
  • Just to finally get rid of the annoying BUY NOW! Banners :cookieMonster:

you just have to display the garage game logo

You'll find that people aren't paying $600 extra to remove a logo.

Being twelve doesn't give you permission to talk like a noob; I'm twelve and I use grammar.
