Author Topic: Aphtonite's "The Raft" Map Preview!  (Read 2195 times)

Here is a raft map i have made after looking at Packer's brilliant "Flying board" Map
I don't think a raft map has been made on retail, but here is a preview of the map "The Raft"

Also, i know the sail looks crappy, but i don't really know how to make a more realistic-looking one

Looks godd, but I think it would be hard to build on.

P.S. your aphyonite?

Yes, I am
Also, it is pretty easy to build on, tested it and the bricks go in the same direction as the raft,

Bump, and some other info
There is terrain under the water, And you can walk there, so you can build bases in it

Co-co-combo breaker bump!
Side picture of the boat, for width comparing

There's something about the sail I don't like. Other than that I like it!

Xoax, i know the sail looks crappy, but i cannot do any better D:

make the water move slowly in the direction it should.

make it look like its moving :3

Tails, It does that already.

Is there land that looks big enough to fit the raft? beacuse hat would be pwn (not that it doesnt already ;3)

I see some small errors.

You mean "Land" By island's?
There are none, and if i made one, it wouldn't make the boat look like as if it is moving, At all.

I know, for some reason there are two holes on the slates, but you do not fall it though

I don't know what it is about the raft, but it looks too small if you meant for the raft to be for humans. I think it could be the thickness of the sail that's throwing it off, but it could also be that it's not long enough. I googled for the lego figurine height but didn't find anything.

If you happen to own one, measure it. Then find a website on how to build a raft and find out measurements from that. It would look nicer if it was to scale.

Other than that, it's a cool concept that I might expand upon once I get the hang of 3dsmax.

Looks like my raft with Willson on it.

Who thinks i should keep the sail pole, or just remove it so it makes it easier to scale right?
