I'd like to see a tree (trunk/section) map. Maybe treat it as if you were making a volcano. Hollow inside, has roots out of the ground, and is hollow inside. You would build up the sides like a tree village.
OR Maybe even several thinner trees to build around, with maybe a swamp theme.
