If you go to someones server and they have an Add-On or Map that you dont there is a Gui and you can chose which you download and you have them for your own

I think what he means is that when he downloads the addons from another server (models, pictures, and possibly sound)� he wants to download the scripts for them so he can use it when he's in single player.
Simpler explaination: Normal= Downloads models, maps, pictures, and sound if wanted. But not the cs file and what ever puts the maps on the menu that allows you to activate them in singleplayer and in your own server. His version= Download everything, including the cs file that activates the addon and whatever allows you to use the maps. (I suck at explaining things.)

but what if someone is trying to make an add-on and doesnt want someone to steal their idea and forget it up and release it?

Then there should be an option to disable them from being downloaded.

I would like this but if it ever happens there has to be an option to turn it off because gtfo n00bs no stealing Packers stuff. But its hardly needed, the only decent reason why Blockland needs it is the people can't figure out how to install add-ons.

Oh, this reminds of me of how Valve games do it. When you join a server and have to download something like a map, you it gets saved as if you have downloaded it from here and create another server and use the map again, even if you didn't have it initially. This could be useful if a server is closing and you want to prolong it yourself.

It should be like a Enable/Disable. So people stop people from stealing thier maps!

I can pretty much steal both Add-ons and Maps but I'd have to re-script them but half of the time most add-ons are just the jeep/bedroom script with a different name.

Firstly, datablocks are downloaded automatically.

Secondly, downloading scripts from the server is one of the worst mistakes you could make, for obvious reasons.

I agree with Ephi, imagine you have a script that you want to keep to yourself and it gets downloaded, what would you do? (But making anything download is easy.)
