K, here's the idea, a 30 or 50 caliber gun. Except, you don't carry it in your inventory. It's placed somewhere on the map. You can get on it and shoot it, but it remains in its position. I think it'd probably be easiest to do this as a vehicle, so it would just sit on the spawn point and not be able to move (though you'd need to be able to fire it and rotate slightly as well as move up and down hopefully to aim). Overheating, jamming or a reload after expelling a few hundred bullets would also be a nice touch, allowing attackers to surge forth in those few seconds.

Actually, it's already possible...

It involves haxxy things which I would rather not think about, including rotating the vehicle in a convenient unhaxxy way.

In v9 you could copy the tank's rotating turret code and make the vehicle not be able to move. Oh course, my speculation is all based on the fact that the tank rotates that way.

Badspot said that the turret and tank are seperate vehicles.


just make another tank that cant move.

thats the problem, badspot has the tank mod, once V9 is out, just take half the tank and make it into a 50 cal. , im guessing you can even look for the code somewhere on the internet and do this before V9 is out.
