All I need to figure out is how to change the bot to a different .dts shape and how to have bots automatically spawn when the map loads. Anyone know how?

maybe use milkshape with a bot script but i dont know how to make them automatically spawn

Fish idea I like but lag? I mean if you get infront of it what will it do? Player moving to fish and fish swimming away not possible. I moving thing could be it's the collision part I'm confused about. Great idea!

Really good idea, I hope you guys can pull it off. It could be an awesome map.

I could try making the fish MODEL, but i cant script soo... Can anyone else do the scripting

It wouldn't lag that much. And we can just use Space guy's bot mod (with his permission of course) and alter the player model. The walk bots just move around randomly and avoid objects, so they would move out of the way without altering the script.

Just one design is fine with me. But ya, if someone could make multiple models that would be awesome.

And I started messing around with the water and I found a way to make the walk bots float and move around without sinking. They avoided objects just like I was hoping, but they were stuck in the crouch position; I don't know if that would be a problem if we change the bot model.
Also, I don't know how to alter the water so that it wouldn't affect the player. I could just raise it higher, but then if the player goes to high then he will just shoot to the top of the map.

Is it possible our characters will sink to the bottom of the fish tank so we wont float or stay in a certain axis like the fish bots.


and for the tank could there maybe be a night and day version? you dont have to though im just like wondering.

That's what I'm wondering. The only way I can think of to fix this would be to lower the depth of the water so that it won't affect the player.
And ya I could easily make two different versions, but for right now I just want to get the bots and water problem figured out.

what if you made the screen blue instead of normal? but then the bots cant float because there is no water

I think that a water datablock should be included, and I'll figure out something later to keep the player from floating away. To make progress with this map though I just need to figure out:

How to change the bot player model.
How to make a bot spawn automatically once the map loads.
And if there is a way to lock a bot into the Z axis.

Ask the person who made the bots mode maybe he can tell you how to change it

this should have a giant scubba diver


I'm sure it's possible, but it might be too difficult to script. I just want simple bots which swim around in a set path, they don't have to react to anything except the walls of the fish tank, kinda like the way Space Guy's bots avoid walls. But, the more realistic the better.

I'll have a try at this.
