Author Topic: The 7 Commandments All Video Games Should Obey  (Read 3044 times)

With the loading times comment, play the Metroid Prime games. You actually get to play during the time it's loading, the short corridors splitting rooms and enemies as the loading screens. That's the best example of an efficient loading system I have seen.

Their comments on Sales vs. Graphics were a bit shallow.

The Wii has a different target market than the PS3 and Xbox360 and it has a huge price difference too. Saying that people don't care about graphics because one console outsold another is pretty ignorant.

Over here is Valve (you too?) releasing a broken version of The Orange Box for PS3 and again scrambling to get it patched after gamers started screaming.

Why do they blame valve, when EA did the console ports?

i find it a "neccisary" for the game to be "up to date" with graphic you know? like what the hell would a company (lets say Bungie) releases a 5-bit version of halo 3 instead of the one we have, we be happy cause we are able to customize our Spartans/Elites but won't see the detail why? because we are in a 5-bit system.
we will probly not even notice the change.

now if we put maxamum graphics, either the xbox will impload or the game will just lag during the tuturial but hay, it looks way cool with awesome graphics.

I don't understand how a game developers dosn't know how to balance both settings, the engien is there, theres no need to make a even better engien, now all we need is better gameplay which the Wii has mastered. IF bungie was to sell halo for Wii, i will laugh my ass off cause its more interactive and all, though its a example, i see alot of problems for the Wii but you get the point

im not stating a "which side im on" thing, all i did was state a comment on how videogames should be the best in this time.

Your too back and forth, I don't know what you are saying you agree/disagree with.

What, the forget, is a 5-bit system. GAMEPLAY ABOVE GRAPHICS.

Have you ever seen pictures of brawl? Cinematic quality!
