Author Topic: Flat-Shade Problem In-Game  (Read 1443 times)

So, I flat-shaded it, and it worked. But when I picked up the item, it wasn't flat-shaded in my hand.
I used Trader's method of flat-shading. Can anyone help?

Have you tried this

Code: [Select]
13. In the .cs file for your item, modify the following properties to match your desired effect:

     doColorShift (true or false)
     colorShiftColor (Red / 255   Green / 255   Blue / 255   Alpha / 255)

for your weapon?

Yes. I have checked over this several times. But again, I will check over it.
EDIT: I have even remade the script. I have no clue whats going on.

Heres the problem:

When I first spawn it, it looks un-flats shaded.

When I pick it up, it still looks the same.

Then it is flat-shaded.

When I see it in first person, its like this.

It looks like this. Its not flat-shaded though, even though I did 30 times.

Later on I will be adding animation for strumming, rocking out, etc.
I was thinking about pressing certain buttons for certain sounds, but I still want to fix this problem.

Make it colorshift with hands, nice for us yellowskins, also, see how many polys there are, that may contribute.

Thats not whats going on. I've had bigger things be flat-shaded all the time.

Love the handanimations. Could I bug you for a double bass? :-D

Maybe if I can figure out whats going on.

Solved. If you would like to ask questions, feel free.
