Author Topic: Idea of way to do physical bricks  (Read 1952 times)

I think to make physical bricks, you could make vehicles of all the bricks. Then, when a brick is blown up, you replace the brick with a small vehicle spawn and make it invisible and decollided. Would this work?

Let me put it this way, you computer would get raped up the ass 100x over.

I mean, that's just a given. You want to replace all of your bricks with VEHICLE spawns! ... Packer, his computer would get so far raped up his ass, the digital shaft of pwn would go up his ass into his throat and stick out of his mouth, he'd live, and then have it done to him again. That's how bad the lag would be.

For specialized instances physics dummies may be useful. I don't think anyone assumed we were talking about hundreds or thousands of bricks.

Trust me, It'd be lag hell, probably give you the BSoD, somehow give you AIDS, Herpes, 7 types of HIV, and Cancer.

I found that quite funny...

7 types of HIV

There are two types of HIV: HIV-1 and HIV-2

unless if you ment a subgroup?

If it is made, it should detect how many bricks were blown up at once and react accordingly: If you're levelling a skyscraper or giant cube of 1x1 bricks, then use the normal brick death. If you're blowing up a door and wall or something then physics vehicles would work well. The limit could be turned up and down by the host depending on their preference and computer processing speed. I assume the vehicles would disappear when the brick respawns or the bricks would be permanently destroyed when made into a vehicle.

This would go very well with the Gravity Gun...

Use the rigidShape class built into torque, it's effectively a shape with physics.

It is only included in TGE 1.4 and up I believe. Furthermore it won't achieve less lag than vehicles.
