Basically, it should let you make something like a gun or a plane, etc. Then you hit the object with a wand (or something like that) Then it asks you if it is a vehicle, a gun, or a plane or something like that. Then it tells you to hit special points of the object (front and back ends of a barrel, wheels, seats, hold point, etc.). If it is a gun then you can make the projectile. It would also have more options like how fast the projectile or vehicle goes, if the projectile falls, etc. This would probably be pretty hard, but it would be awesome. I would love it if somebody would please make this. It would probably be one of the best things made. Tell me what you think about this idea, or if it would be just wayyyy too hard.

This has been suggested before, but would require quite a bit of work on the part of someone. It is possible, just extremely difficult to make and would probably be somewhat limited.

What I think would be a good idea that would not lag, is a program that lets you choose a model from your shapes folder, than your projectile, if it gives off light, ect, then it generates your script.

That is basicly an automatic script editor. Not a modler.

well that would be a start. even if its just a script editor it still seems useful to me.
say you have 3 shape files of generic vehicles, 5 wheel types, some custom decals and something to edit movement (aka; what furdle was talking about). that would allow for many things...not to mention custom racecars.

No, it isn't possible without immense engine changes, which would take about half a year to work. Plus, try changing an engine that you didn't make by yourself. Pretty hard, isn't it?


If it WAS possible, it'd probably lag immensely and he'd be forced by everyone in the community to do v9 first.

I wish BL had the physics of gmod... as I know that is far from possible.

Stop with the damn engine changes!
This would be possible. You would have a gun or whatever base, and verious parts you can attatch to areas of the gun, and a script that lets you chang the shooting stuff. It is completely possible, just it would probably take so long to do I do not beleive anyone would actually bother.

Us coding newbs no nothing about C++, so we just say what we think :P
