Surely in this case you'd support (actual not abused) communism because everyone shares all resources and everything is free?

In America, you'd be supporting capitalism/fascism (extreme) where to get anything you have to be rich and have a lot of power.

Because you have to pay for the game, only the people who really like it will play. It keeps the number of users down and prevents millions of noobs from joining.

If it were free, people could grab a whole bunch of BL_IDs, and get back into servers with an IP change.
If it were free, Badspot would go bald and need 60 more moderators.
If it were free, Badspot wouldn't have as much motivation to update the game, and keep it strictly as "free-time".
If it were free, we would need a search tool for the server list.
The list can go on.

I think that he can just pay the $20.  It's not much.  It's one payment.  If you can't afford it then you shouldn't have internet or a computer either.
