i know it's pretty stupid to say this, but i think it's a great idea. not only would it motivate The RTB team to make RTB better, but it would keep poornoobs out.
Discuss.

What do you class as an expansion pack?

badspot and The RTB team team up to sell RTB2.0 as an "expansion pack" to blockland for $5-10.

1. It wouldn't keep n00bs out, your suggesting this makes it seem like your a n00b.  Blockland costs $20, does that stop idiots, no.
2. It has been promised to always remain free.
3. RTB dev team already does a great job.
4. RTB doesn't actually effect servers, ie: A person without RTB can still join a server with it, and visa versa.
5. Just a stupid idea.

but, if they vowed not to make it cost money, i guess that changes things.

I have 25 dollars, I can get it over the internet, and I still think this is idiotic, it restricts servers( You had not mentioned that those with it can join without it, so I can use that) so those with and without cannot play together, and the fact that the RTB team would say and no, Badspot shall as well.

Your right, I have a $50 best buy gift card, about $80 is cash; and I'm looking at my tablet I bought recently, and my Wii is sitting down stairs with my 5 or so games that I've bought for it by myself along with my gamecube and its games; all that I bought with my own cash.

Also, RTB is a independent entity of Step 1:Games.  Though RTB dev members are beta testers and friends of Badspot, RTB is not associated with him.

The day that happens is the day I stop posting on these forums.

I wouldn't mind paying $5-10 for that to happen.

Well, Badspot owns any mod that comes out for this game, so in theory it's his say, and I can guarantee to you he won't go with it.

I believe it is he owns any mods that put in public domain and he decides to use.

I really don't think the idea going to keep the newbs out. If you don't like the newbs then just ban them from your server. I think we should just keep RTB free when it comes out.
