Author Topic: Just got Half-life 2:D (Read 1494 times)

I just got hl2 it is still dling from steam and it says i need to upadte my drivers and i click the thing where it says update and it says:"We do not know what type of video driver you have." Can you guys help me?

First, Click start, then run and type "dxdiag"
(Alternatively, you can right click on my computer and choose properties, Hardware, Device manager, Display adapters and it will show you the card. You can also right click and go to properties of the card for more detailed info)
A window should open, let it load for a bit and then at the top click the display tab and it should tell you what card you got.
Go to your card manufacturer's website, based off of the card. (Nvidia or ATI)
They should offer drivers and instructions, just be sure to uninstall your old ones first.

i found drivers for your card there, just didn't know what kinda windows you have, so i didn't make a better link

Ps:i have windows xp home editon
Also i dont know if you can help me wiht it but it has been on 55% for a long time now and hasent budged.

It is still at 55% And do you think if i trun off my computer like tomorrow i get back on will it contuine to downlaod it.
P.S: it still says i need to update my drivers.

HL2 for the PC = Epic win.
For 360 = A little less win, but still awesome.

I DLed The Orange Box off of steam and both Portal and HL2 episode 2 dont work.

i got orange box in store for PC.

and the EP's work fine, but if i start new game on half life 2 i get that AI disabled crap.
easily fixed in console, its just lame.
