Author Topic: Good games with low requirements.  (Read 2314 times)

Hay guys, looking for some new games to play at school, that should probably fit these specifications:

a 2.6ghz celeron
512mb ram
onboard gfx

Preferably under 300mb (although 500mb may be acceptable), must not be FPS, must have LAN play.

Ideas?

so far we've been playing CnC1 and KKND2: Krossfire.

Blockland you noobs.

Blockland doesn't run well at all on the school PCs, not 0002 or retail'd.

We DMed on BLM1.6a in school.

We played Worms World Party.

We cursed at each other over the UT demo.

Some other people managed to get AoE, AoEII, Starcraft, etc.  But that was before they locked the computers from us installing things (The comp sci room has reduced security on the machines.).

Worms world party/armageddon sounds like a good idea...

age of empires 2!!!!!!

Did anyone even read how I said it should be about 300mb? :l

Starcraft, Total Annihilation, or TA spring: http://spring.clan-sy.com/
Even though TA spring is a 3D RTS it depends a lot more on the cpu then graphics card. Ive also got it to run on a 450 Mhz computer so it should run on your school computers.
*edit : If you copy all the installed files from Starcraft and get a no-cd loader then it is about 125 MB, TA spring can be less then 200 MB if you don't have a lot of maps.

X Ops? :P

Err...

Can the comps run Quake 3? If so, Urban Terror and WolfET?

He said no FPS's, which makes no sense.

Starcraft is a possibility, and we could MAYBE stretch to WC3....

Toblo locks you out if you don't have a gfx card, we tried. :<
