So, this is supposed to halt piracy? I think it would make it more of an issue.

If you are a Pirate:

* BAD: You do have the same bugs that those with legal copies have, plus new ones depending on how the cracked copy was programmed.
* GOOD: Unlimited Activations!
* GOOD: No SecuROM to deal with
* GOOD & BAD: It’s free, but illegal

If you are a Legal Customer:

* BAD: Limited to 3 Activations
* BAD: Your computer is plagued with SecuROM
* BAD: Game contains errors and bugs
* GOOD & BAD: You support Maxis by purchasing the game, but you are also supporting EA, and if you support them, you support SecuROM

Which one looks better?

YARRGHH I BE A PIRATE FROM NOW ON!

What the hell? EA is just a bunch of Idiots who are supporting Piracy, now if only my Inet did not suck rooster...

I wouldn't be surprised if soon we were only allowed to start a game published by EA 3 times on a console >_>

EA is really starting to piss me off. I'm sticking to their console games and that's it. No Crysis for me, but at least I will get Far Cry 2.

Ea games keeps coming out with games that require a newer video card every time. Then i got mad when they put cookie bots in battlefield 2142.

WHAT???!?!?!?!

It will basically be like the new Microsoft Word, where you have like 3 licenses or something. Allowing you to put it on 3 computers. I'm assuming you will be able to transfer the license over to a new PC as long as its done from the one you want to transfer it from.

That's like stealing our rights... We bought ownership to the game... anyways, a CD key can be only used once. I thought PunkBuster was bad.

Just say if you bought Spore. You install it on your computer. You uninstall it due to a  crash. You reinstall it, same problem, you uninstall. You get a new computer, you install it, it works. But you accidentally permanently deleted a folder. You have to reinstall it again... Oh no! You have to buy a new one.

What is EA smoking? I'm probably going to start sticking to console games, too.

Or just don't buy their games anymore.

So you can only install it three times?...

And the fact it turns off your loving firewall to install SuckROM, betcha something is gonna take advantage of that

yes, your rights to head shot aim with bots were taken away, how unfortunate.

SecuROM looks very very gay..... I just read threw the wiki article it stops you from deleteing 16 bit executables (which it probably is) it is also oficially classified as malware and some versions of it relied on illegal SubQ-Information to work. After you uninstall the product you have to use a third party program to remove the "protection". If you have windows you have to be on an administrator account to do any thing to stop secuROM.

But don't listen to me read the article.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SecuROM

I just hope that Battlefeild: Heros dosen't use this peice of stuff (shouldn't it isn't on a disk and it is free so why would they need an anti piracy program on it?).....

Sorry for talking about piracy Badspot....

Do not:
  • Do not talk about pirating software
  • Do not give links to software pirating sites
  • Do not give instructions on how to pirate software
  • Do not talk about how you just pirated software
  • Do not give links/talk about/show off private or cracked mmo servers - this is piracy
The bold is what we all just did.....

No... it kicks you for no loving reason. It used to kick me for having a certain amount of fps. Thus making Battlefield 2 unplayable.
