Problem With Server

Ok. I host server. No one comes to server. I have the ports requried open (28000). I disconnect. I goto join server. I find my server name and it says under "ping", "dead". any help plz?

Did you forward the ports 28000-28030 or did you open 28000 on your firewall? There is a difference. You need to forward ports.

Well of course it says your server is dead after for disconnect from it, when you do that you close the server. While you are in it get someone to see if it is there.

Well yes that is true. But normally people join random servers regardless the name.

Open the console by pressing the ` key above tab, then type this in, then press return:

Code: [Select]

canvas.pushdialog(joinServerGui);
It will open the join server window without you having to leave the server so you can test to see if its dead or not.
