Why do mac even do adverts?

i never seen windows advert on tv

they talked about vista a bit on the news the day it came out but thats it :\

That's because they don't have to pretend to be a "community", it's an operating system, not some handicapped community.

Yay for Maddox and his truthfulness.

*ahem* if a Mac is an operation system, then... uhhh... I'm really f*cking confused, because my Mac runs an operating system called Mac OS X, it isn't the operating system.

Unless I just totally misunderstood your post, which I might have since it didn't make too much sense.

Yeah its like saying windows isn't a operating system. windows = all versions mac = all versions

Hum, I wonder what the first word in "Mac OS X" is, and if someone could possibly refer to it, and other operating systems like it by that first word.

-_- Thats not stuffit expander, mac doesn't extract like Windows operating systems do. You have to manually extract all the files.

I love my pc, it's so fun to play my games and use my software :D

No, you can do it all with the program pictured. If you're too dumb to read, before I got this new account I did.

Hum, I think it means Mac Operating System 10, so just "Mac" would refer to the computer.

Okay cigaretteass, you cant refer to Windows XP or vista or 95 and such as just windows.

Owning a mac.
I just dont see how a dummied down operating system that can barely run anything is good.
That's only games.

The problem with Macs is that most businesses use PCs at the workplace. But when that work needs to be done at home at a Mac, that's when the problems happen. No doubt Apple knows about this and wants it fixed so they can continue to try to take over the world. It doesn't apply to work either but also games and other crap too. Since most of the computers on Earth are PCs it's only proper business to supply to the larger market. I'm not a Macfanboy, I'm not a PCfanboy.

I'd just like to remind all Mac users that Windows run's on a Mac now.

They "stooped down to our level" :D

Look Mac's are good for all that creative stuff, and Windows is good for everything else. And is computable with everything else. And has movie making software too. And... um... where exactly do those Justin Long commercials have a leg to stand on? Like that one where he gets to hold hands with that Asian chick.: "Yeah, everything just sorta works on a Mac" Well I plugged my digital camera in for the first time, didn't install any software, and boom: Windows has an image extractor that treats the hardware like an external device and instantly puts the pictures to the folder of my choice. So, now unless Japanese cameras take a special kind of Japicture, then I think Windows wins that one as well as Mac does.
