Automated Locking System

I think after a certain amount of time (i.e a month) a thread should lock. If the person wants to bring it back to life the original poster should be able to reopen it.

What about all those threads in Off Topic that have like 23452345234 pages? They're more than a month old. And it seems like some of the (good) add-on threads will stay on the first page more than a month. And the owner doesn't always post in them, sooo...

But it's an ahright idea, I guess.

Yeah, it'd lock after a month with no posts, not a month after topic creation.

I dunno if the forum system is capable of this but it'd be SO nice to have.

Yeah, that wouldn't be bad... but I'd still rather deal with bumps. I mean, it's not THAT annoying...
Oh wait, I forgot 50% of the people on this forum LIVE here... it'd be like someone throwing month-old trash through your doorway for them :o
