Thing is: no, it's really not. It takes no more than 2 seconds (and I mean on a PSP/whatever, it takes me a second to type "you" with one finger); why not TYPE THE WORD OUT?

Yes, it's a shortcut, but those shortcuts make you look like a TOTAL MORON.

And, again, in a future-oriented aspect, my typing has only improved since using full sentences back when I was in the 3rd grade and playing Runescape as 'Sunmars'. It actually took me so long to type these that people thought I was ignoring them. Eventually, I progressed to a more acceptable speed.
