Author Topic: Flatshading Vehicles SOLUTION IS HERE!! YES!  (Read 1842 times)

How the heck people flatshade their vehicles properly while..

- Keeping collision intact
- No more "white box" appearing on far places
- No more model dissappearance on certain distances
- No more collision handicappedness

Gee... I just made a simple box collision... It's still being handicapped... All of these problems continue to bring me frustrations...

Anyone willing to help? (If you want to do it privately just PM me)

I've asked alot of people... Searched tutorials... Tried almost all tutorials...

EDIT: I'll add some more info on this:

Flatshading weapons is WAAAAAY different than vehicles for me...

Solution:

Set all LOD's for shapes to 16
Then make the collision box named "Collision-1"
Create bound boxes.

Thats it. It works.

Did you try flatshading the vehicle mesh first, and then adding the collision box?

Yes

EDIT: Ah wait no. I flatshade it in the end...

Still got problems? Is your collision box Concave (bad)? Convex (good)? just a box (also good)?

Are your bound vectors in the script encompassing the whole model AND collision box?

Ephi uses Maya I think.
I didn't know Ephi modelled at all.

I'll try to use them both
They both cost a couple thousand dollars, just so you know.
