I learned how pointless video games are.
They were intended for entertainment. If you don't find them fun, then maybe you should try sports, or continue your epic boat business.

I thought bands get plastic instruments and play pre-made songs by hitting series of colored rectangles, competing against millions of bands for high scores.

There wasn't music then, but premade songs became available later.

I learned from BF2 that the only military strategies necessary to win are spamming grenades and spraying while diving on the ground.
