Author Topic: remote trigger (item and event)  (Read 662 times)

i have NO idea of this could work but its just something I thought up.

the remote trigger would be a item that triggers a "on remote relay" event. how It works is you click with it equiped, a gui pops up showing named bricks with events, and then (depending on if you have sufficient trust with the brickowner) the brick would do a action.

now the remote relay event would just be a imput event. weither this gets triggered is dependent on if you have trust with the bricks owner. also there should be (if possible) a "private" option or a client list on remote relay imputs (good for bases, houses, artillery) as well as a limit to one per brick.

so. can it be done?

well there was a remote bomb but those were both weapons. it might be able to be done, cool idea

A simpler idea might be a gun or tool that people can use to activate the (normal) onRelay event on their own bricks (Maybe with full trust), and admins can use on anyone's bricks.

But, What if you wanted to trigger events on one brick, but not the other.

nice idea.

How about what ever brick its spawned from, it inherits its brick name?

Or, you hit a brick and it inherites its brick name. Also, make it let you have more then one and when you equip it a nice message comes up "You are now controlling: <named brick>"

bump

I like the name inheritence Idea. and space guy has a good point too.

But, What if you wanted to trigger events on one brick, but not the other.

hmm.....either name inheritence or each remote trigger gets a name.
