I downloaded V9 and copied and pasted all my old add-ons into my new add-ons folder and now they dont work and I have NO clue why. Please help Badspot!

Sorry for double post but the modify button is gone.

This total smart-ass rudely told me that i had to port my old add-ons. now what the heck does that mean?

For the old add-ons from V8 to work in V9, They have to be in a specific zip like vehicle_minijet.zip the old add-on system was different, the new one is neater. I'd gladly help you port them, i sort of know how. Send me your old addons or something, and ill help if you'd like.

Keep in mind a lot of the worthwhile add-ons have been converted already and are on the forums, but you should ask the creator before porting an add-on if they are still active. Whatever you do, make sure you don't port an add-on already made, I'm sure we all don't want multiple directories for one add-on.

So are you saying that they have to be in .zip form for them to work? All my add-ons are extracted with WinZip.

Yes. Like Nitramtj said, a lot of worthwhile add-ons or already converted and in the add-ons section.

V8 add ons/maps/decals,faces,prints/anything for V8 will not work on V9..
they have to be ported any how V9 has a good few add ons now..
using winzip will not port them.

It's too bad they don't work in v.9. I had a lot off add-ons that i was very proud of (but i had to deactivate some of them because it takes so long for some players to load) But i still really like the new version.

I tried downloading V9 but it said the disk image failed to mount. And I tried 6 times. Can anyone PLZ HELP? I want V9 to work!

FYI, I'm on a Mac G4 10.3.9.
