There is a completly different problem existant for many consoles, the lack of a proper amount of ram :)
Other than that, making controls work out for wii wouldn't be a big problem
example: you press and hold one button, use the nunchuck to choose the brick you want and use the wiiMote to place/move your brick, using aiming, still holding the same button you used for choosing, pressing another button enables the rotation features.
There just has to be put some thought in it, there are many small things that could even be ported to the current controls used, cause, they aren't as good as they could be I think :)

The RAM problem could probably be solved using a special grouping system for bricks, though, that would carry on an imense amount of work, so, won't work out :P
Result: No Blockland for Wii | but maybe, usermade, wiiMote controls for pc :P
